Our Story

Discover the journey that made Skyline Rotorua one of New Zealand's most beloved attractions, perched high above the stunning Rotorua landscape.

A Vision Above the Clouds

Skyline Rotorua began with a simple vision: to share the breathtaking beauty of Rotorua from the best possible vantage point.

Located on the slopes of Mount Ngongotaha, our gondola transports visitors 487 metres above sea level, offering unparalleled panoramic views of Rotorua City, the pristine Lake Rotorua, and the surrounding geothermal wonderland.

What started as an ambitious project to create New Zealand's first luge track has evolved into a world-class attraction that welcomes families and thrill-seekers from around the globe.
