There is 2 main power systems
They are devil fruits and haki.
Devil fruits are special fruits that give the user are unique power. The same devil fruit cannot exist at the same time. Once the user dies, the fruit reincarnated into the nearest normal fruit. There are 3 main type of devil fruits, they are, logia, which gives the power of a certain element, Zoan, which allows the user to turn into a certain animal or a hybrid of said animal. The final on eis paramecia, which is a universal category, it can range from turning into what you eat, to being able to control string. You can only have 1 devil fruit, otherwise the devils inside both of the fruits will fight inside of your body, killing you. You also lose your ability to swim due to the unnatural powers being a disruption to the natural order.
Haki is a system that can be most commonly found beyond the summit war saga. There is 3 types of haki, Observation, Armament, and Conquerors. Observation and Armament haki cna be obtained, while you must be born with conquerors haki. Observation haki allows the user to see things that they might not normally see without help from binoculars. Armament haki is invisible to the naked eye. It is like applying a invisble set of armor. It enhances the users stength and resistance to damage. It also allows for users to cut logia users due to Armament haki negating their elemental powers. The final type of haki is Conquerors haki also known as the color of the supreme king. It demonstrates the will of a individual. It can cause inexperienced pirates to collapse or even faint. More experienced pirates can withstand it or even challege it with their own conquerors haki.
