F1 Teams
Red Bull Racing — Entered in 2005 after buying Jaguar. Became a dominant force from 2010 with Vettel (4 titles) and again with Verstappen from 2021 onward. Known for innovation and aggressive racing.
Racing Bulls(formerly Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri) — Began in 2006 as Red Bull’s junior team. Gave debuts to stars like Vettel, Ricciardo, Verstappen. Acts as Red Bull’s development squad with occasional surprise wins.
Ferrari — The oldest and most historic F1 team (since 1950). Holds record for most constructors’ titles. Known for legendary drivers (Schumacher, Lauda, Vettel, Leclerc). Strong identity, though recent years have mixed results.
Haas — Joined in 2016 as the first American-led F1 team in decades. Uses Ferrari power units and technical support. Had early midfield success but has struggled for consistency.
Mercedes — Works team re-entered in 2010 (after buying Brawn GP, who won in 2009). Absolute dominance from 2014–2020 with Hamilton & Rosberg/Bottas, winning 8 constructors’ titles in a row. Still a top contender.
McLaren — Founded in 1966, one of the most successful F1 teams ever. Multiple world championships (Senna, Prost, Hakkinen, Hamilton). Famous for innovation and iconic rivalries, now resurging as a strong challenger.
Williams — Founded in 1977, one of F1’s great privateer teams. Won 9 constructors’ titles in the ’80s and ’90s. Declined in recent decades but remains a respected historic name, now rebuilding.
Aston Martin — Current team lineage traces back to Jordan (1991). Rebranded as Racing Point in 2019, then Aston Martin in 2021. Backed by billionaire Lawrence Stroll with strong investment and a Honda engine partnership from 2026.
Alpine (formerly Renault) — French team with roots in the 1977 Renault works entry. Famous for introducing turbo engines. Won titles with Alonso in 2005 and 2006. Rebranded as Alpine in 2021; switching to Mercedes engines in 2026.
KICK Sauber (formerly Sauber/Alfa Romeo) — Swiss team founded in 1993 (Sauber). Known for nurturing young talent and partnerships with manufacturers. Became Alfa Romeo-branded (2019–2023). Now transforming into Audi’s works team in 2026.
Cadillac (new team) — New entry for 2026 under the Andretti Global banner with Cadillac branding. Represents America’s push back into F1 with strong manufacturer support. Will use Ferrari engines at the start.
