Minecraft is a game where you need to survive at whatever the world throws at you. Only the pros have the freedom to mess around in that world. At first, it's the players' goal to be able to survive; gather food, build shelter and gear up to fight enemies. There is an option for the feeble minded or artistic players called Creative mode. Pretty much a sandbox with unlimited blocks of all types, letting you build and create all you want.
