Blender is a open source 3D creation suite. You can use blender for verious different things such as 3D modeling, animation, rigging, simulation, rendering, composition and motion tracking. Blender was first created by Ton Roosendaal on 2nd of January, 1994 making it over 30 years old. Blender is used by different people such as Concept Artists, 3D Artist, Blender Artist, Character Concept Artist, Animators and Environment Artist just to name a few.
