This is the Wright Flyer was the first airplane to fly successfully. It made its first flight on December 17, 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, flying 120 feet in 12 seconds. Made of wood and fabric, it had a small engine and two propellers. This flight started the era of airplanes.
